Monkey Monday – Nurserys

I figured for my first Monkey Monday post a nursery theme would be appropiate, considering how I am expecting and all. If you know me even a little, you probably know I love monkeys. Not the real ones, just the cute characters and stuffed animals. Real monkeys are quite opposite of what I find cute. Bleh. The fact that anyone can point to a real monkey and say “Aww how cute!” mystifies me.

Anyhow. On to the said topic. I fell in love – I mean in love – with this nursery set when I was pregnant in 2009 with my last little girl. I really did plan on getting it. Really really did. But, as you may have guessed, I didn’t. I just couldn’t justify spending so much on a nursery set for a baby that wouldn’t even appreciate it. Though she could have used it for several years… I ended up combining her and her older sister’s room anyways so they had to have matching bed sets, of course. But, who knows, maybe this little gumdrop that will be entering this world in September will be so lucky to have this sweet set in her room, considering she won’t have to share a room with her sisters. Lol.

This is a pretty cute set. I have never been able to get super excited about anything boy-ish. Maybe it’s because I have never been pregnant with a boy! Lol. I don’t like baby bedding with all the primary colors, or trains, or stuff like that. There aren’t even many sports set that I like. I like a more modern feel, and for boys, a somewhat neutral feel, I suppose.

I actually hadn’t seen this set before I starting picking items to use for this post. I think it’s super cute! I especially love the mobile – see how it is being held by a giraffe? How stinkin’ cute is that!?
