Today I am sharing what I am pretty sure will become a new holiday favorite in our home. As I have mentioned before, I am not much of a baker. Sometimes I attempt something with a little bravery, but I prefer to stick to simple treats my girls can assist with.
These are what I am calling “Peppermint Pretzel Treats”. You’ll need 3 simple ingredients:
- Pretzels (the smaller sized ones)
- Candycane Hersey’s Kisses
- Holiday M&M’s
First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Then, spread your pretzels out on parchment paper on a cookie/baking sheet. Doesn’t need to be fancy or organized, I just let the girls do that part.

Then have your kiddos (if you have some) unwrap the kisses. It’s funny how sometimes the simplest things are fun for little ones.

Have them place one kiss on each pretzel, like so:

Pop them in your oven for around 8 minutes. Really depends on your oven though. Just watch them and take them out when the kisses look melted. Don’t leave too long though or you’ll burn the chocolate, like I almost did. Haha.

Take them out and add M&M’s to the center. Depending how old your kiddos are they may be able to help with this, but the chocolate is super hot, and you need to put the M&M’s in there before it hardens back up, sooo use your best judgment on that. Put them in the freezer for a few minutes for faster cooling, and tada! A quick, easy, fun holiday treat!

My 4 year old would love helping me with this!!!
Such a fantastic idea! I love those candies. I recently made peppermint kisses with them and they turned out fantastic.
